Sighting in was not difficult and I shot an 8 point buck the first time I hunted with it. This is my third crossbow purchase and I will say, I was NOT disappointed. But I read a LOT of reviews on several crossbows in this price point and decided to give the killer instinct fierce 405 a try. Ive been an archery hunter for 30 plus years and I'll admit, I was sceptical of purchasing a new crossbow from walmart. ![]() I would give it a 7 out of 10 for the price. Seems to shot nice but the battery for scope dies to quick. Got the bow this year and so far have not had a problem with it. ![]() Great value for such a fast and lethal bow. Before I use it again, I may take the stirrup out completely and drill holes to allow the set screws to travel past the edge of the steel, so they cannot slip out. Even with lock-tight on the threads, one side slipped out after only 3 shots. This is a common problem with low-cost crossbows as you are putting tremendous pressure on the stirrup when you cock the bow. On the Minus-Side: the foot stirrup set screws don't hold well and allow the stirrup to slip out of the slot. On the Plus-Side: this crossbow is light weight, quiet and accurate. Be aware that you are getting value equivalent to the cost good but not outstanding. You can spend much more for a name-brand and not get much better performance. This is the second cross-bow I've owned, and (so-far) I like it a lot.
